Abstract
For affine systems the state trajectory can only be made to approach integral curves of a very limited class of vector fields. We seek instead to identify vector fields whose integral curves can be approached arbitrarily closely at discrete times by the state trajectory. These results have applications to output tracking, sliding mode control, and feedback stabilization
