Abstract :
Time-domain equalization techniques for the MC-CDMA system, which compensate for the channel effects using a correlator structure without any frequency transformation, are developed. Time-domain equalization is computationally efficient because it does not require DFT or FFT operations. Thus, this approach is very attractive for hardware implementation of an MC-CDMA receiver. Four equalization techniques including the MMSE equalization are derived from the time-domain model, and proven to have the same performance with the corresponding frequency-domain techniques. An efficient receiver structure employing an LMS adaptive correlator is also proposed
