Abstract
This paper describes a new watermarking scheme for tamper detection and recovery of image, in which the tampered region of the image can be detected and recovered. To resist the vector quantization (VQ) attacks and collage attacks, a linear block-chain formed based on the secret key in such a manner, than we insert the recovery information and watermark of an image block into the next block in the block-chain to obtain the watermarked image. In watermark embedded procedure, we select several high frequency coefficients in the quantized DCT block as the recovery information and embed it into image as watermark. Then, we can localize the tampered region, and apply inverse DCT transform for image recovery. Finally, experimental results are given to show the effectiveness of the proposed scheme.
