Abstract :
In this paper, we present a novel dual frequency circularly polarized antenna concept, utilizing a cylindrical dielectric resonator and a microstrip patch. we describe a stacked configuration of a dielectric resonator antenna on a microstrip patch for dual frequency operation. A circular polarization is obtained by utilizing four coax feeds in phase quadrature. A numerical simulation of the radiation characteristic and return loss of the antenna has been performed. This configuration is found to exhibit a wide axial ratio beamwidth.
