  • Abstract
A stretching device was used to study the behavior of an isolated canine Purkinje fiber under stretching. A stretching with changes in the diastolic length was applied to the isolated canine Purkinje fibers. The intra-cellular biopotentials were registered and used as a parameter to check the morphological changes induced by stretching. This work reports the data from the stretching experiments, which showed a significant variation in all phases of the action potential, but only phase 1 is discussed
