Abstract :
This paper presents an approach to enabling carbon offsetting credits to be attached to products and be transferred to people who buy the products. It introduces RFID tags as certificates for the rights to claim carbon credits in carbon offsetting and trading. It also supports the simple intuitive trading of carbon credits by trading RFID tags coupled to the credits. The approach was constructed and enabled any products to be attached with carbon offsetting credits and the credits to be traded through supply chains.
