Abstract
In this paper, the performance of a space-frequency adaptive processor receiving a spread spectrum like communications signal in strong RFI environment is studied. The interfering scenario consists of wideband as well as narrowband jammers. It is shown that for these types of interference scenarios, one can improve the performance of narrowband SFAP by windowing the time domain samples before transforming the samples to the frequency domain. It is also demonstrated that one needs to carry out some sample overlapping in SFAP to achieve the optimum performance.
