Abstract :
A radar speed measurement system for railway traffic based on digital signal processor TMS320C6745 is introduced. The system is designed to be used on high-speed trains. The working principle and the structure of the system are described. This system is based on a compensation structure of dual-radar module to eliminate the effects resulting from shaking of the trains. It also has a variety of working modes to adapt to different working conditions. After the Doppler frequency signals from the radar microwave modules are amplified and filtered, the DSP selects the appropriate working mode and gives instructions to collect and process the signals, and eventually sends the results to the display unit. The experimental results show that the system has high accuracy and good stability.
