Abstract
The development of a low backscattered dual polarized metallodielectric structure based on Sierpinski carpet fractal geometry is reported. A backscattering reduction of 32 dB for normal incidence is obtained for the third iterated stage of the fractal geometry. The scattering behaviour is found to be similar for both the TE and TM polarizations, owing to the symmetry in the structure of Sierpinski Carpet.
