Abstract :
TETRA (Terrestrial Trunked Radio) is ETSI defined standard for professional digital mobile radio network. It is mission critical system and one of most important parameter is reliability. Mobile functionality is of great importance for end users and special attention should be given to reselection parameters. The article gives a detailed explanation of the process of reselection, it is explained what are slow reselect threshold and fast reselect threshold, list of adjacent base station that are sent from serving base station to terminal and their influence to smooth transition from serving cell to adjacent cell. Examples of parameters will be shown and practice guides and tools to discover problems of reselection.
