Abstract :
This paper treated the design of radome panels for combined use in the microwave and millimeter wave bands based on analysis of power transmission for three- and five-layer panels. Broadbanding of a five-layer radome panel was examined, and numerical analyses were carried out. A five-layer panel with power transmission greater than -2 dB in the 6/4 GHz and 44/20 GHz bands was successfully designed, and it was found that the bandwidth of the five-layer panel in the 44 GHz band was double that of the three-layer panel.
