Abstract :
This paper presents a method for obtaining an accurate model of the solar cell panel, based on manufacturers´ electrical parameters at only one operating condition. It implies the computation of the five parameters model in reference operating condition without any experimental data and the elaboration of a Simulink block for solving the implicit nonlinear I-V solar cell equation. The Simulink block is initialized with the reference parameters computed in the first step and models the P-V and I-V behavior of the solar cell for a wide range of operating conditions. The method was experimented with a Bosh Solar Module c-Si M 60 and the results are in good correlation with those given by the producer. The Simulink model enables the users to design the power control of the solar cell in the Simulink or PowerSim toolboxes.
