Abstract :
To reduce the cost of high-pressure oxygen treatment, an inexpensive system for applying a form of localized hyperbaric oxygen therapy has been developed. An experiment which applies localized hyperbaric oxygen to wounds made in the tails of laboratory rats is described. The initial results indicate that oxygen under hyperbaric pressure does penetrate the many cellular layers of the wound being treated
