Abstract :
Organic Photovoltaics (OPV) based on semiconducting polymers has made strong advances over the past few years reaching record power efficiencies of 8.3%. The band-gap of such polymeric semiconductors define the single junction cell efficiency but also opens up the opportunity to produce solar cells in different colors which make OPV pre-destined for new growing markets, like building integrated photovoltaics.
