Abstract :
In this work a new low-cost solution for the implementation of electronically scanning active antennas for mobile satellite terminals in Ka-band is presented. The proposed antenna is made of a slotted post-wall waveguide array with integrated active feeding network. The small size of this antenna, its flat profile, lightweight and low fabrication costs, together with its high performances in terms of antenna efficiency, high gain and scanning capabilities, make it a very attractive solution for mobile satellite terminal applications.
