Abstract :
An integration of heterogeneous resources based on semantic grid is presented after thorough studies have been conducted on heterogeneous database integration of digital university libraries. Using OGSA-DAI middleware as the logical intergradation´s layer, it establishes an ontology mapping layer and a semantic grid layer to deal with intermediaries such as grid agents and translation. Being able to describe users´ retrieval needs accurately, this integration framework solves the problem of semantic heterogeneity, making information sharing possible. Experiments show that this integration based on semantic grid could improve search hits efficiently.
