Abstract :
In this paper, we present a procedure for testing the performance of mobile phone antennas in receive mode by means of measurements in a reverberation chamber. The procedure is based on the reported received power of the phone internal power meter, i.e. no extra cable needs to be connected to the antenna under test and thus the uncertainty due to this can be avoided. In the reverberation chamber, the mobile phone is tested in a uniform multipath environment and with the possibility to easily include a head phantom in the setup to simulate the influence of a user.
