Abstract :
This paper presents the design of an interacting tank system for the study and evaluation of advanced process control strategies. The system dynamic model and implementation details are also presented. The system has been specially designed with characteristics and problems inherent to the actual process industry environment. The controlled variables are the level and the output flowrate. Experimental results using the implemented interacting tank system are briefly discussed
