Abstract
In this paper, we consider minimizing queue length through suitable resource allocation of power, transmission time, and channels on the downlink for multicarrier CDMA systems. We formulate the allocation into a nonlinear optimization problem and propose the queue-square minimization (QSM) approach to approximately solve this NP hard problem. Simulation results show that the QSM approach yields much better performance than the existing PF and MDU approaches in the literature.
