Abstract :
In this report, we propose a new one-dimensional (1D) lossless discrete cosine transform (L-DCT) for unified lossless/lossy image coding. Coding performance of the proposed L-DCT is better than that of the existing L-DCT, especially in high bit rate, because a new signal processing to perform ID L-DCT is required less number of rounding operation. Simulation results confirm an effectiveness of the proposed L-DCT.
