Abstract :
New media art is a new rising subject, which is the fusion of science and art. One of its remarkable features is using digital technology. For students major in new media art, being an artist is not enough; knowing how to use graphics software is not enough; possessing computer abilities is necessary. So computer education is very important for training compound talents. But it is a challenge to build complete and effective computer curricula for art major. In this paper, we give multi-level computer curricula, on the background of computer education in New Media Art and Design Institute of Beihang University. After exploration and practice in teaching, better results are obtained.
