  • Abstract
This paper describes a transparent bifacial biopsy chip toward the functional adaptor for endoscopic operation. The device consists of an observation side and a biopsy side. The observation side has a photonic pattern array that plays the role of planar light guide, while the biopsy side has a micro-knife array. The device can be simultaneously used for in situ observations and biopsies. We demonstrate NIR (near-infrared) observations for monitoring blood vessel and a pseudo lymph vessel with PDMS fluidic channels filled with ICG (indo cyanine green, Tokyo Kasei Kogyo co.Ltd) pigment. We also demonstrate cutting and extraction of fluid from a pseudo lymph vessel.
