Abstract :
After evaluating electrical and mechanical mobilities of the tripeptide glutathione, a monoanion (GSH-) at pH 7, the authors present spectrophotometric results in the ultraviolet range concerning interaction between DNA and GSH. No marked action is observed at the characteristic wavelength (258 nm) of native DNA, but changes in the shapes of the DNA thermal denaturation curve are found. The intricate behavior of DNA-GSH thermal transconformation is discussed
