Abstract :
Research on the graphical characteristics of the background has great significance to camouflage. In camouflage, after the dominant color of the background image was extracted, there were many sharp angles and connected areas on those areas where the colors had been amalgamated. Mathematical morphology was based on set theory and used image transforming to emphasize some of the information in the images. In this paper, the theories of mathematical morphology and camouflage were combined, the erosion and dilation algorithms for multicolor images were designed, the dominant color spots of the background were generated and they can be used to design camouflage patterns.
