Abstract :
In this paper, we consider the admission control of communication flows under an environment with frequent retransmissions of packets. The basic idea of the proposed scheme is to improve Jamin et al.´s predictive service so as to take into account the effect of retransmissions of packets in a parameterized manner. The goodness of the scheme is evaluated by simulation. The result of simulations indicates that the proposed scheme can guarantee a predetermined delay bound without degrading the link utilization rate by appropriately selecting the value of a configurable parameter.
