Abstract :
The REBOOT Project (reuse based on object oriented techniques) has developed two software development process models (development for reuse and development with reuse) that incorporate reuse specific activities in all phases of the development life-cycle, and a set of tools, the REBOOT environment, to help an organization manage a database of reusable components in support of these two models. The authors discuss the facilities offered by the REBOOT tools, the tool architecture that has been designed to facilitate the tool porting to various database systems, and the tool integration into complete software development environments
