  • Abstract
In Kendo, a Japanese bamboo sword-fighting sport for which protective armor is used, when one makes a strike, one steps forward strongly with the right foot after kicking the ground strongly with the left foot. For this action to be successful, muscular strength and lower limb muscle power are required. In research of Kendo competitions conducted to date, measurements of floor reaction force using a force plate give measurements that are overly high.
