Abstract
We have examined a cross-coupled filter made from high-temperature superconductors (HTS), which is one type of the elliptic function filter. The insertion loss of the HTS four-resonator cross-coupled filter was approximately 0.29 dB. The skirt properties of the filter was almost equal to those of an eight-resonator hairpin filter which is a Chebyshev type filter. We found that an electromagnetic simulation was useful to determine the optimum configuration of the filter
