Abstract :
This paper is to evaluate McLaren´s revolutionary critical pedagogy by using the theoretical analysis approach. Firstly, the early thought of McLaren´s critical pedagogy is expounded. After the millennium, his research attention was shifted from the critical cultural political path to the analysis of political economy. From his articles, we then had the reflections on ideology, capitalism, globalization, and postmodernism. The research results are finally provided as reference materials for the domestic educational theory and praxis in Taiwan´s education.
