  • Abstract
    We report on demonstration of a free running 10 GHz micro-comb RF photonic oscillator characterized with single sideband phase noise better than -55 dBc/Hz at 10 Hz and -125 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz. The comb is also characterized with Allan deviation smaller than 10-10 at 1-100s integration time. Progress towards building the oscillator with phase noise at the level of -60 dBc/Hz at 1 Hz and -140 dBc/Hz at 10 kHz along with associated challenges is discussed.
