Abstract :
One method to synthesize arbitrary views of a given environment in image based rendering (IBR) is the technique of view synthesis. A scan-line-based intermediate view synthesis algorithm is presented, in which image rectification is applied in the pre-warping processing and the post-warping matrix is specified through the movement of the epipoles. Image warping, or morphing, is a technique used in computer vision. Simulation results are provided on the synthesis of intermediate views using this method.
