Abstract
This paper deals with the evaluation of Japanese traditional crafts using kansei data and consumer-specified preferences. To be specific, we focus on two multi-attribute decision making methods proposed previously, aiming at conducting a comparative study to achieve some improvements for the purpose of enhancing the quality of personalized recommendation. An application to evaluating products of Japanese Kutani porcelain is conducted to illustrate how the improvements work.
