Abstract
A modification of DE algorithm using Simplex method serving as convergence accelerator is described. The first part is devoted to analysis of the Simplex method arrangement in DE algorithm, the following part introduces some results obtained by practical application of modified algorithm in analog filter design. As shown, the best version based on partial optimization of the selected individuals in population during the "coarse" run and final optimization of the "best" individual brings significant reduction of computation time and number of iteration cycles.
