EU STEPs Project - Scenarios for Transport and Energy Supply and their Potential Effects

STEPs (Scenarios for the Transport system and Energy supply and their Potential effects) is a project being carried out as part of the European Union Sixth Framework Programme, under its ´Sustainable Surface Transport´ priority. The project will reach its conclusion in July 2006, and so is now beginning to deliver initial findings regarding the likely impact on energy use and emissions of different policy and technology scenarios at regional and pan-European levels. This presentation will cover some of the initial findings and introduce the full range of findings expected from the project.
