Abstract :
By the National key scientific instrument and equipment development project from Chinese government, a commercial optically pumped Cesium atomic clock was launched in 2012, which is to manufacture a kind of Cesium clock for Telecom and other engineering application areas in China. A prototype of optically pumped Cesium atomic clock has been manufactured in Spaceon China. This clock includes three parts: Cesium beam, Laser system and electronics, which were made as modules separately in advantage. In Cesium beam, a special beam collimator in the Cesium oven is introduced to control the beam fringe model and orientation, and cavity in classic U model design is used. The optical scheme is configured as a single architecture to pump F=4 to F´=4 and probe F=4 to F´=5 by shifting 251MHz, and the Laser frequency in the clock is locked by Cesium saturation cell at the D2 line of Cesium atom in order to realize a high stable light source. After all, the total modules were assembled into a standard rack with 19 inches, and the clock has been locked. We have preliminarily optimized the clock parameters including Cesium oven temperature, microwave signal etc, and the Allan deviation of the clock is 7E-12/s in this phase.
