Abstract
Summary form only given. Erbium-doped fiber amplifier (EDFA) technology is well understood and widely implemented in different areas of communications that includes video, audio, and data transmission. An EDFA in a loop configuration is investigated. A loop EDFA is fabricated by splicing two WDM fibre couplers.
