Abstract :
A formal mathematical framework for sensory decision-making is proposed. Some implications of this are explored and it is shown that calculations based on this framework may lead to techniques for automatic error determination. Work is ongoing both in the theoretical sense of devising algorithms to produce error-recovery trees and updating them in real time and in the practical sense of applying both framework and algorithms to the many existing assembly problems being researched
