Abstract :
Thales has a very long heritage on manufacturing Travelling Wave Tubes for communication in space ranging from L to Ka-Band. Based on this large experience Thales Electron Devices (TED) start the development in Q-Band for the medium and high power class TWTs of about 40W TWT to 100W, to address the growing needs in this next available frequency band for downlink.
