Abstract
Control and applications of DC/DC converter has been widely discussed in power electronics and control literature. Soft-switching strategies are used instead of hard switching to avoid or minimize commutation losses; however soft switching topologies use a resonant or some form of partial resonant commutation with prohibited high circulating energy in medium and high power applications. In this work, a simple converter configuration to achieve almost zero switching losses is proposed for the interleaved boost converter. Simulation, practical implementing issues and limitations of the proposed scheme during different test conditions are shown.
