Abstract :
A 0.34 THz folded waveguide traveling wave tube amplifier has been designed and simulated with 3D PIC software. Driven by a 15.1kV, 7mA pencil shape electron beam, the gain of this device is predicted to be more than 16dB, with a 3 dB bandwidth of more than 16 GHz. The slow wave structure of this device has been manufactured by two-step UV-LIGA technology.
