Abstract
Summary form only given. A safety guard designed to cover the top of the probe assembly of a Bruker AC 200 superconducting nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR) spectrometer is described. It prevents insertion of a sample when the sample lift air is off. The guard prevents accidental damage to the NMR probe. Operation of the spectrometer is otherwise unaffected
