Abstract
We use a control method, originally suggested in Otani and Jones (1997) to stabilise unstable periodic orbits, to synchronise two chaotic trajectories, by making small perturbations of a control parameter. As in the Ott, Grebogi and Yotk (1990) technique this method does not require a knowledge of the system equations and it has also the advantage of not requiring any knowledge of the Jacobian matrix, although it is still necessary to perform a sensitivity analysis
