Abstract :
A reliable microcomputer-based parameter estimator of the induction motor essential for controlling high-performance solid-state AC drives is developed. The formulation is based on discretization of the d-q equations in the rotor frame. The instrumental variables method proves particularly advantageous when dealing with practical systems having appreciable noises in both the input and the output measurements
