Abstract :
Cold cathode technology is significant development of magnetron. This magnetron has good stability and reliability, and could start up fast. Comparing the cold starting-up performance of four kind cold magnetrons, an alloy cathode is selected as the emitter of cold cathode magnetron finally. This alloy cathode magnetron could start up without filament and the starting-up time is less than 5s. At the same time, pulse width and output power of this magnetron is in accordance with conventional thermionic cathode magnetron.
