Abstract
This paper aims to study the correlation between S&T input and output in regions where developed private economy plays a dominant role in the whole process of economic development. Wenzhou as a typical case was taken for our analysis and two sets of variables were chosen as the representatives of S&T input and output, respectively. Canonical correlation analysis was conducted to discuss the relation between the two sets of variables. The results present a strong correlation between them.
