Abstract :
This paper provides an overview of the National Electricity Market of Singapore (NEMS) following more than two years of successful operation. It examines the respective submarkets, including energy and ancillary services (reserve and regulation). Due to the nature of the market design, the different products are co-optimised to achieve a global optimal solution. This co-optimisation is examined as well. Finally, the development of retail competition is briefly discussed
