Abstract :
A packet-switched integrated voice and data local area network (LAN) called NICENET has been installed. The main components of NICENET are described. In order to assure the requirements of real-time communications, the data-communication-oriented network protocols must be modified. Some modified parameters of the protocol service primitives are discussed.<>
