Abstract :
A 0.28THz backward-wave oscillator (BWO) driven by sheet beam is proposed based on the discrete metallic poles planar slow wave structure (SWS). It is a great potential to design THz vacuum devices based on the discrete poles structure with a relatively low operating current density.
