Abstract :
This paper investigates a new analytical model of a cell supporting adaptive traffic. A dynamic channel allocation scheme based on predefined bandwidth threshold values, which takes into account the signal power of incoming calls, is presented. A threshold value is set to limit the number of new connections to reduce the handoff dropping probability. Formula for performance characteristics e.g. blocking probabilities are derived.
