Abstract :
A generalized modified minimum-bandwidth direct-sequence code division multiple access system is proposed to approach Nyquist transmission rate without sacrificing error performance or user capacity. When orthogonal spreading code is employed, it is shown that the proposed system is able to accommodate all kinds of spreading codes by trading off a negligible excess bandwidth. Furthermore, the proposed system model enlightens a new research field over Nyquist rate direct-sequence code division multiple access systems.
